Dott’s Hot Beds………..

It’s Sue last day and there is one thing we haven’t done…………a fishicure.  Sue arrived in Barcelona with a list, a long list of things she ‘definitely’ wanted to do and we had been mighty in checked them off one by one but each time the fish pedicure came up she’d say, ‘later but not today’.  So here we were drop dead date, now or never.  I really thought she was going to pass but at the last minute she wanted to do it so off to the shop we went.

There is this moment when you first put your feet into the water where all of the fish at once immediate go to your feet in a swarm.  It takes your breath away!  Even the second time, when I knew it was coming and that it would quickly pass it still took my breath away.  I can tell you I had serious doubts that Sue would ever be able to get past this. But as she often does, she surprised me!  There was an audio gasp of breath and a bit of a moan but she kept her feet in the water.  Not for the full 15 minutes mind you but at least in the beginning.  And yes, when she gets back to New Orleans she has the pictures to prove she did it and the bragging rights that go along with it. 

A quick stop my Milk for a bite to eat and one last glass of cava and for Sue to say 'addios' to our favorite waiter, Jose and all that was left to do was to cram all that new stuff she bought into that tiny little suitcase. 

As is quickly becoming tradition, I will turn the remainder of this blog over to Sue. 

Dott Clary new star on Trip Advisor!!

My stay in Barcelona went far beyond my wildest expectations and checked all the boxes on my list………..Dott was the commencement host, friend, and ultimate tour guide.  I came up with one difficult idea after another and she would research it, find it on the map, plan how to fit it in and made it work.  We had absolutely wonderful and varied food, booze, museums, shopping, and more shopping they were all I could have ever hoped for and more.   Even though I hope to return to Barcelona there is nothing more I could experience!!! Dott made all my dreams come true.

I will be letting Trip Advisor know they need a new category……..’The Ultimate Host and Tour Guide’ with Dott as the five star leader!!!

P.S.  At the cooking school when they learned of my summer with friends visiting every couple of weeks they said they had a name for that in Spain, ‘hot beds’.   So I’ll run for now.  Time to wash the sheets and yell, ‘next’!
